Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. 2Cor 9:7
The subject of giving is one that can, and has been divisive, and misunderstood by many. The basic truths for the individual believer are simple, and direct, and should remain that way, for us to be able to walk with the Lord, and in His will in the matter of giving.
The Lord desires us to give not gudgingly, nor for popular applause, nor out of compulsion, but cheerfully from the heart. In our giving we should focus our attention and realize we are giving our substance to Him, not just the church or ministry or organization. It is a seed sown for the Kingdom of God. When we are in a position of prosperity, our giving should increase according to our means. If we are liberal, the reaping will grow exponentially. The more we are entrusted with, the more we are able to give, and sow into the Kingdom. It's in this service in the Kingdom that the poor are cared for, and supported. We become God's hands and feet in providing for the necessities of the poor of the lands, and giving the Gospel to them in the midst-which is the greatest gift they can receive.
As the ongoing events unfold with the NWO, and the GREAT RESET is being put into place, it's difficult to watch what it's done, and continues to do to untold millions. The suffering, loss of businesses, loss of people's livelihoods and their homes, the suffering and death from a man-made health disaster called Covid-19; and those who've been involved with it still getting away with it.
World events tell those who are awake, and are watching, that it's going to get worse; the suffering has just begun. The world leaders and organizations are saying, starvation is coming for many regions of the world. I've watched and know, it's another planned event. Too many food processing plants have been destroyed, for this to be just "climate change". It' a man made disaster, just like Covid is. But, that is another subject, for another time.
The hardest to watch is what it's doing to the everyday person, who remains invisible, and unrecognized. You may have had a successful life, a good business, a comfortable home, a medical practice that you loved-and loved the people you cared for as patients. Then you woke up one morning, went to work thinking it would be another normal day, to find new regulations were put in place by people in authority over you, that forced you to either comply with restrictions and practices you know are wrong, or lose your practice if you won't. The Covid lockdowns may have caused you the loss of your business. A serious illness hit you, along with the other unjust restrictions put on everyone by the government, and your facing many financial losses. The season of prosperity you once enjoyed, and took for granted, is now dwindling or gone, and your facing having to cut back or deciding what to sell, or give away, to lighten your load of debt. You may be a minister who once had a large successful church, but Covid has brought many disasters and problems to the people in your congregation, and they just can't give like they did before these problems started.
In 2021 I received a letter from one of my doctors at Dartmouth Hitchcock, telling me with great emotion, that he had decided to leave his practice of 17 years, and that it was a very hard decision, and he was very grieved to have to leave. I won't go into any more of what he said, but I could hear the pain in this doctor's heart. It represented what so many other's like him were facing, and still are to this day. I imagined the years of work, study, hardships, and the love he had for the people he took care of, which he expressed in the letter, and what it meant for him to lose them.
Along with this, I've watched and read stories of people who've lost their homes, and families from these tragedies. I've watched countless videos of this from around the world. Not only watching, also praying. There are many like us-who don't say so much-but we are praying for you. It's our service, and our calling. God hears, and He's not asleep.
All this is being said for this reason. Those of you who are Christians, and have been taught by church leaders and pastors that if you don't continue to give-you are in disobedience, or stingy, don't listen to them. Don't allow anyone to condemn you, if you have to scale back, or even stop giving-for a season. If you have debts to pay, take care of your own responsibilities first, and give only what you can. God is not going to be angry with you, for doing this.
I've learned over the years, that He does not lead us the way the money changers in many churches do. In times of prosperity, I've been able to give large sums of money to ministries, and given away new vehicles when I've had the means to do so. But, there's also been times when an unexpected problem, and trouble has come into my life, that caused me to have to put aside my giving, to keep my own debts paid, and when I got through the trouble, was able to renew a greater commitment of giving. God directed, and guided me in these times, and never once, condemned me. I've been on both sides of financial trouble-and have learned God's ways of caring for His people. He can help you, also.
The account of Satan making accusation against Job in heaven is a very interesting story, I recommend reading it, and the rest of the book of Job. It will help you, if your going through troubled waters right now. The devil didn't give Job any warning when he took everything away from him. Job was a wealthy righteous man, but in one day Satan took everything he had; his property and his children.

Satan Allowed to Test Job
Job 1:6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.
Job 1:7 And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.
Job 1:8 And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?
Job 1:9 Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought?
Job 1:10 Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.
Job 1:11 But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face.
Job 1:12 And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD.
Job 1:7 And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

Satan Takes Job's Property and Children
Job 1:13 And there was a day when his sons and his daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother's house:
Job 1:14 And there came a messenger unto Job, and said, The oxen were plowing, and the asses feeding beside them:
Job 1:15 And the Sabeans fell upon them, and took them away; yea, they have slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.
Job 1:16 While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The fire of God is fallen from heaven, and hath burned up the sheep, and the servants, and consumed them; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.
Job 1:17 While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The Chaldeans made out three bands, and fell upon the camels, and have carried them away, yea, and slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.
Job 1:18 While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, Thy sons and thy daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother's house:
Job 1:19 And, behold, there came a great wind from the wilderness, and smote the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they are dead; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.
Job 1:20 Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped,
Job 1:21 And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.
Job 1:22 In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.

There's many preachers today that will tell you, that if you go through great trouble, and lose everything, you must be in some great sin. Job wasn't in sin, God gave the devil the go-ahead to test him to the limit, and took everything he had. I keep saying, check out what anybody says, and read the bible for yourself. You'll only get correct discernment, by doing your own study, pray, and research yourself. Job also had his share of accuser's and and miserable comforters. He is an example for us, when we are going through our testing's and trials.
In chapter two, Satan goes back to God, and again, God allows him to test Job even further, and afflict his body, but save his life.
Job 2:4 And Satan answered the LORD, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life.
Job 2:5 But put forth thine hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse thee to thy face.
Job 2:6 And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thine hand; but save his life.
Job 2:7 So went Satan forth from the presence of the LORD, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown.
I hope this pricks your interest to read the book to the end, and see how Job turns out. But, in the meantime, here we see an image of absolute misery. It couldn't get much worse. He's lost everything, his wealth, his kids, and now his body is riddled with sores and in pain from head to foot.
There's people who've lost their homes this past week from hurricane Ian, that can relate to Job. Many of their homes have been completely destroyed. You may be going through something just as bad, and alone. God is still on the throne-and if we cry out to Him, He hears, and answers our cries.
As for giving, yes, God wants us to give and be generous. But, it's never to be a method coercion, or manipulation. When Paul was in prison, he knew what it meant, to not have the means to give as he once did-he said he had learned to accept the place God had placed him.

Php 4:11 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
Php 4:12 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
Php 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
You may have memories of days of being an important member of a big ministry or church, and enjoyed the popularity and recognition that the position held for you. Now, it is a memory, never to be lived again. Many times pastors, and ministries gauge someone's value and worth, by popularity, and their financial ability to give. If you can't give to them all-you will find yourself at the bottom of the scale, and rejected. But, God's view of value and worth isn't the same as man's.
Paul knew what this meant, as he sat in prison. Like Jesus, he watched, as everyone who once followed him, left him alone.
In that dark, damp, rat infested prison-he had no money, or means to give anymore. His total reliance was on the Christ he had served tirelessly, for many years. The only thing he had left to give was his ability to pen the riches of what Christ had revealed to him, and put it down in writing-which has enriched and ministered to untold millions to this day. I'm thankful, for his tireless service, with that candle, scroll, and quill.
Below are links to some teachings on giving, that are scripturally sound, and can help you. If you're being made to feel guilty about not being able to give as you once did, they will help. You may be in a season of trouble, and need to care for your family, your own debts, your own responsibilities-do it, and don't let anybody put you in bondage, or condemnation. God be with you. Reach out to him-he is only a prayer away.

Response to feedback:
There are several ministries I've given to regularly for many years , and will continue as usual. I know where the money is spent, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ is preached, without compromise. I'm referring to the same Gospel the first disciples preached and boldly proclaimed throughout the book of Acts, and paid with their lives for. "There is no other name under heaven, by which we must be saved."
Act 4:10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.
Act 4:11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.
Act 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
There won't be any funds donated to ministries, or mega churches to help them buy another new jet plane, help fund their trips to vacation resorts, overseas tours, fancy vehicles to drive around in, or face lifts, or tummy tucks. Those that have gone in this direction-are peaching another Jesus and another gospel-not the Lord Jesus Christ of the Bible, that I've been following for over 40 years, nor His Gospel.
There will not be any donations to help them maintain their elegant status, their diamond mines in Africa, or other investments to line their pockets, and support their luxurious lifestyles.
There won't be any funds sent to a church or organization who have linked their allegiance with other religions to gain more financial profit-such as Buddhism, Islam, Mormonism, or any other.
I'm not jealous or envious of any of you-I don't agree with what your doing, and am not afraid to say it, plain and simple. The vast majority of churches have gone the way of Baal, and Simon the Sorcerer. I've made my line in the sand. Satan owns this world right now-and I believe you mega ministries are being supported by a false "Jesus"-who is really Satan himself. You are deceived and the worst part is-you enjoy your deception. You've taken the bait-gold and silver a plenty, and the accolades of those who follow you Pied Piper's.
Do what you please-I've made my choice a long time ago. The proof of my faith, that it is in the TRUE LIVING GOD-AND LORD JESUS CHRIST, is when I stand praying, and see the answers come, regularly. I KNOW in WHOM I believe. I have no fear of what man thinks of me, or the devil himself. Let God be true, and every man a liar.
