THE WAY OF THE WORLD
by Peter Fraser
Children dying with tears in their eyes,
Starvation and filth are Satan's disguise.
His short time of rule is drawing near,
The way of the world is constant fear.
Our youth using crime to rule the night,
Lawlessness and vice, the Deceivers delight.
The populace shivers with nowhere to hide,
The way of the world is stubborn pride.
The elderly living in squalor and slums,
Despair and distrust are the Enemies guns.
Our social strata is based on neglect,
The way of the world is disrespect.
Parents who's children can have a free reign,
Laziness and sloth are the Serpents domain.
Discipline's crumbling and order's gone hence,
The way of the world is indifference.
World leaders who bleed their countries dry,
Greed is the apple of Lucifer's eye.
So many who strive for the biggest slice,
The way of the world is avarice.
Scientific advances for comfort and joy,
Modern technology is the Devil's toy.
We move further away from God's plan for his nations,
The way of the world is segregation.
Evolution is taught in our uni's and schools,
Falsities and lies are the Dark Prince's tools.
We explain away our sickness and schism,
The way of the world is humanism.
But now some good news, we need it I think,
After being oppressed by society's stink.
Jesus is coming in not days but hours,
To the Lord goes the victory, eternity is ours.

AUTHORS NOTE:
Satan, with the assistance of spiritually blind mankind, has created the unfortunate circumstances all men have to live in while on this world. Pick up a newspaper and the proof of our sad state of affairs is right under our noses. But despair not saints, for Jesus said that all these things must occur before the end of time. With this in mind, knowing that the time of the Lord is upon us, we should try harder than ever to clean out our houses, so the Lord will enter and sup with us and not pass us by.

The War of the Soul
From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members? Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. Jas 4:1-4

I'm your child, or spouse, or friend.
But I've changed.
I don’t belong to you anymore.
I don’t care about you.
Not in the way you want me to.
I care about getting high.
I WANT to get high.
I will do ANYTHING to get high.
I LOVE getting high.
I NEED to get high.. and I will step over you to do it.
When I look at you, I don’t see YOU.
I see a means to an end.
You have money.
I want it.
End of story.
I don’t care if you can’t pay the rent.
I don’t care if you need groceries.
I don’t care if you promised not to give me money again.
I don’t care if you lie to Dad.
I don’t care if you’re broke.
Sell your rings, take a loan, sell your electronics, max out your credit cards, borrow the money from someone else, because if you don’t, I will STEAL it.
I WILL find a way to get HIGH.
You think you can CHANGE me, or SAVE me.
But you're WRONG!
Something cold and dead slithers in me.
You can CRY all you want.
Your tears won't change anything.
I have no integrity or values.
My morals are a thing of the past.
I will say anything, do anything, hurt anyone, to get my next FIX.
Although I play the game with you, make no mistake.
I don’t play it because I care, I play it because I want my DOPE.
I'll tell you what you want to hear,
I'll promise you the world,
I'll look you in the eyes, and I'll break your heart.
Over and over again.
I don’t have a heart.
I have a HUNGER.
It’s calculating and manipulative, and it OWNS me.
In a strange way, you’re thankful for this.
For when I need something I find you, quick!
Then when I’ve gotten what I want from you, I leave.
You’re anxious without me.
You offer to buy my food or pay my rent.
By now, your NEED is almost as great as mine.
I can’t stay SICK without you.
You can’t breathe without ME.
You think you’re helping me.
You believe you’re making a difference, but what you’re really helping… is my ADDICTION.
I won’t tell you this, but you know it, deep down.
If we keep going like this, one or both of us will die.
Me from an overdose, that you paid for, and you from a heart attack,
or stroke.
You’ll wait YEARS for me to change, or see the light.
You keep my secrets and protect my lies.
You clean up my messes and bail me out.
You love me to the exclusion of EVERYONE else.
But I'm not the only one who changed
You're bitter and resentful.
You hide from your friends and isolate.
Your world revolves around one thing only… ME.
But will your LOVE ever become greater than your FEAR? Would you be strong enough to reach out for help?
Will you learn to say NO?
Will you allow me to experience the consequences of my actions?
Will you LOVE me enough to feel your guilt and stop enabling
my addiction?
I lay trapped with within the confines of this cold dark, serpent – addiction, and I am… dying.

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. 1Jn 2:15-17
For all that is in the world - All that it can boast of, all that it can promise, is only sensual, transient gratification, and even this promise it cannot fulfill; so that its warmest votaries can complain loudest of their disappointment.
The lust of the flesh - Sensual and impure desires which seek their gratification in women, strong drink, delicious viands, and the like.
Lust of the eyes - Inordinate desires after finery of every kind, gaudy dress, splendid houses, superb furniture, expensive equipage, trappings, and decorations of all sorts.
Pride of life - Hunting after honors, titles, and pedigrees; boasting of ancestry, family connections, great offices, honorable acquaintance, and the like.
Is not of the Father - Nothing of these inordinate attachments either comes from or leads to God. They are of this world; here they begin, flourish, and end. They deprave the mind, divert it from Divine pursuits, and render it utterly incapable of spiritual enjoyments. (Adam Clarke)
The desire of the flesh - Of the pleasure of the outward senses, whether of the taste, smell, or touch. The desire of the eye - Of the pleasures of imagination, to which the eye chiefly is subservient; of that internal sense whereby we relish whatever is grand, new, or beautiful. The pride of life - All that pomp in clothes, houses, furniture, equipage, manner of living, which generally procure honor from the bulk of mankind, and so gratify pride and vanity. It therefore directly includes the desire of praise, and, remotely, covetousness. All these desires are not from God, but from the prince of this world.
The world passeth away, and the desire thereof - That is, all that can gratify those desires passeth away with it. But he that doeth the will of God - That loves God, not the world. Abideth - In the enjoyment of what he loves, for ever. (John Wesley)
Mat 7:24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
Mat 7:25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
