The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in

Following the Path of Peace
There's much encouragement here for those who strive to walk with the Lord, let's unpack some of it.
First, the word "ordered" means to stand erect. The idea here is, that all that pertains to the journey of a good man through life is directed, ordered, fitted, or arranged by the Lord. That is, his course of life is under the guidance and control of the Holy Spirit. The word “good” can be viewed as the righteous, no one is good but God-but, the saint who's put their trust in the Lord, and received salvation, is grafted into Him. We are now His sons and daughters, sharing in His goodness, in our walk in life. Therefore, he blesses him. The general idea is that he is the object of the divine favor, and is under the care of God.

WAYS THAT GOD ESTABLISHES
God takes pleasure in our lives. In each He is working out a plan. Even our failures do not turn Him away from us, for He keeps us fast, and a firm hold of our hands.
Psa 37:24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.
There are precious promises in Psa_37:28:
Psa 37:28 For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.
These promises continue in Psa_37:31-33; Psa_37:33; Psa_37:39-40
Psa 37:31 The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.
Psa 37:32 The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him.
The basic objective of the wicked is-to be perpetually dishonest, to be bent in the direction of deceit in their words and conduct.
Psa 37:33 The LORD will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged
Psa 37:39 But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: he is their strength in the time of trouble.
Psa 37:40 And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.
We are never forsaken. Always sure of an Advocate in the Divine Presence. Not left to the mercy of our foes! Safely housed in the time of need. Dying in peace. Such are the blessings promised to the servant of God. Such has been the observation of one no longer young:
Psa 37:25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.
Psa 37:26 He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed.
The next verse gives us the instruction needed, to follow the path that will bring our latter days to the desired text-to end them in peace: He understands the unspoken language of vexation, adversities that brings pressure, and discouragement. Do not hurry Him; wait patiently and rest.
We can trust God, and His word to bring us to the end of our journey-in the path of peace. There's no need to envy the wicked, time will bring recompense. We can leave the wicked to themselves, and let God take care of them, in His own time. Hold to these promises-they are sure words that describe the end of the wicked:
Psa 37:32 The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him.
Psa 37:33 The LORD will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.
Meaning: God will not regard or hold him to be guilty when he is judged. He will regard and treat him as a righteous man.
Psa 37:34 Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.
Psa 37:35 I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree.
Psa 37:36 Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found.
