Am I against Christian ministries selling or promoting their products? No, but let's be honest; it is exorbitant.
Frankly, I’m tired of watching female preachers spending expensive TV time talking about their face lifts, cruises, the books their selling, their latest diets and watching them parade like peacocks in their designer clothes, made especially for them. This is not the ministry God desires, or speaks of in His word.
And, the prayer alters are empty.
When Jesus walked the earth, he had one agenda; to seek and save the lost. That agenda hasn’t changed, but neither has people’s hearts. Those who followed him did so out of curiosity, and to see what He could produce for them. He rebuked the disciples for doing the same thing. Their hearts were hard, and caught up in the same calculating and scheming of the Pharisees, but they could not discern it. Only Jesus could see what was truly in their hearts.
Joh 2:23 Now when he was in Jerusalem at the passover, in the feast day, many believed in his name, when they saw the miracles which he did.
Joh 2:24 But Jesus did not commit himself unto them, because he knew all men,
Joh 2:25 And needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in man.
But, he continued on, healing, delivering those in demonic bondage, teaching the truths of the Kingdom of God. He didn’t waver, He never altered His course. He spoke truth into the hearts of the disciples, even to the last supper, knowing he would be betrayed. He knew His purpose, He knew the outcome. He was fully persuaded that what His Father had commissioned Him to do; would bring lasting and enduring fruit. I am one of those who is so very glad He did not change His mind.
Mat 21:11 And the multitude said, This is Jesus the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee.
Mat 21:12 And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves,
Mat 21:13 And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.
Mat 21:14 And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple; and he healed them.
Mat 21:15 And when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying in the temple, and saying, Hosanna to the Son of David; they were sore displeased,
Mat 21:16 And said unto him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus saith unto them, Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise?
I especially take note that after Jesus threw these money changers out, the blind and lame came to him and were healed. This speaks volumes to me.
When I stand in heaven, and reach the Throne of God, there is one thing I am very sure I will never see there; buying and selling.
