This poem was written by a man who became a quadriplegic in a snowmobile accident when he was only 20yrs. old, and has been in a wheelchair paralyzed from the neck down for over 25yrs. He is one of the strongest Christians I know.
My Strength Or His
In these walls where I stay
Passes my life day by day
A life that is not for all who live
A life of giving what I have to give
It may not be lavish or full of life
It’s usually long and full of strife
But it is a life that was given to me
He chose my trial because he could see
I would always strive for joy in the smallest of things
I can not say that I am joyous in all that it brings
But I rest on the assurance that He knows what I need
And will pass me strength in that trial for this is His creed
So don’t look at me as the strongest of men
For my strength is not mine but cometh from Him

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
