There's been many voices speaking a great many things prophetically since Billy Grahams death, and there's a troubling aspect to them; they all have an "uncertain sound", a lack of soundness, and interpretations that leave loopholes for a lot of confusion.
1Co 14:8 For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle?
Those who are calling for a great revival, are also putting it together with their prosperity gospel, which is another gospel, not the gospel Paul and the apostles preached. I've listened to a number of them and some conflict completely with each other. Someone is in error, and in time the false prophets will either have to own up to it, or cover themselves again, which has been done a lot over the years by many.
One linked this new revival he believes is coming to Ezra, saying a mantle of Ezra will fall on those God will call out to serve him. Well, I'll wait to see if this happens. Ezra was a teacher of the Word of God, without compromise. I have listened to many teachers today, and find it hard to see this happening. I won't say it can't happen, but see little evidence of people willing to stand for the hard issues of living out the Christian life, and taking a stand against sin, corruption and perversions that have overtaken this society. If you take the blinders off, and ask God to help you see the world as He sees it today; you would realize what I'm talking about. We are in the days Jesus spoke of "the days of Noah". Most preachers, teachers, and large ministries are not preaching against sin, or these perversions now, and I do not see it happening in the future. I believe we are in the falling away period Paul speaks of in 2Thess 2:3, so I will be watching to see if the Lord does a miracle in this area.
I also heard one say that now this is a new day and another message from what Billy Graham preached is going to rise up and get this revival going. To this I say; the gospel of Jesus Christ, as presented by Paul in the bible has not changed, and if it does, it is another gospel, to please the people. 2Cor 11:4, Gal. 1:6-8
Billy Grahams message was salvation, and is for everyone who would turn from their sin, repent, believe in the finished work of the cross, and put their trust in Christ as their Savior.
The true gospel of Christ will not change, no matter who is preaching it, and no matter how long ago, or what age we are in. The word of God does not change.
I believe there is a remnant, God has always had a remnant in every period of time. Those who are in this category aren't going to necessarily be popular, well-liked or professional in their calling or service to God. They may be very rough around the edges, and the Church world may even deny them as being servants of His. But they will fit in the category of Ephesians ch. 6-wearing the full armor of God, and ready and willing to go into the battle against the forces of evil, and take risks that the church world won't even acknowledge. They will pay prices in their personal lives, and say things that will bring them much suffering. They will be willing to pay the cost.
God's eyes will be on them, and His strength will carry them into the battle, and on into glory.
