I'm a person who likes to cut through a lot of unnecessary wording, and get to the point. I'll simply ask the question-does oil and water ever mix? And, with this analogy-does every religion speak the truth- and who knows what the truth is?
Again, a simple answer for me comes to this-when it comes to who the real God is-it must be the one who actually does what he says he can do, and can prove it. Jesus Christ proved his claim of being God in the flesh by the life he lived, the healing's and deliverance's that were documented, and when he rose from the dead. It is the resurrection and the over 500 people, including the disciples who wrote of their witness of his being alive after his death on the cross that validated Christ's claims of being wholly man, and wholly God. I am convinced He is who He claims to be. I've read enough, and researched enough in over 40 yrs., to only make my faith more solid, and more sure. Along with this I have numerous personal testimonies in my life of answered prayer that no one could ever change. I know in whom I have believed-and who I look forward to meeting one day face to face.
Getting back to the Pope. His latest inter faith meeting was with the Muslims, and the leaders who claim the Quran' as their book of wisdom and guidance-I would suggest every American should read it, and compare it with what the bible teaches. It would wake many up, if they choose to truly know what Muslims and Islam teach and believe. Sadly, the multitudes of murders, mayhem, and chaos created by this religion all over the world hasn't seemed to do this. This just shows me the conflict that started with Cain and Able is ongoing to this day, and will only continue to worsen, until Christ returns.
Is it possible for this to work? Can a Christian lock arms and faith with people in religions who hold to beliefs that are completely opposed to what the bible teaches, and Christ's proclamations when He gave the great commission to "go into all the world and preach the gospel"?
I'm simply going to say, no. It's said a picture can speak a thousand words. I'm going to emphasize why the answer is no by the graphics below. For anyone who really has a desire to have eyes to see and ears to hear-they will show the futility of this inter faith movement, and it's dangers.
